Interim President Elected: Dr. Ron Scapp

The National Association for Ethnic Studies is pleased to announce the election of noted educator and author Dr. Ron Scapp as Interim President.

Ron Scapp, Interim President National Association for Ethnic Studies
Dr. Scapp is the founding director of the Graduate Program in Urban and Multicultural Education at the College of Mount Saint Vincent, the Bronx, where he is a professor of Humanities and Teacher Education.
Additionally, Dr. Scapp is a fellow at The National Education Policy Center at The University of Colorado, Boulder and a senior associate of The Urban Educators Forum in New York City.
The author of several books, he is currently working on books about metaphor and teaching (co-edited with Kenneth Saltman), class and capitalism (co-edited with Brian Seitz), and a monograph on urban culture.
