Position Summary:

Assistant Professor, tenure-track, 9-month appointment. Undergraduate and M.A. teaching and advising (teaching load is 3-3), scholarly activity and service. The Sociology department is seeking someone qualified and interested to teach quantitative methods.

Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires a Doctorate in Sociology, Ethnic/Racial Studies or equivalent. ABDs will be considered; doctorate must be received by August 2025. The successful candidate will demonstrate potential for teaching excellence in traditional and online settings, scholarly activity, and serving the profession. Teaching responsibilities include courses in sociological research methods, race and ethnicity, inequality, and applied sociological practice.

Preferred Requirements:

Strong preference for candidates with quantitative social science research training.

This position is contingent on funding from the Colorado State Legislature, approval by the Board of Trustees, and subject to the policies and regulations of the University of Northern Colorado.
